THE FONTAINES
The Fontaines are a new wave rock band based in Los Angeles, California. The band originally started with Charlotte Fontaine (vocals) and Hank Fontaine (guitar) writing songs together in 2014, until they were joined by Chrystian Kaplan (drums) and Daniel Zuker (bass) and became a full four piece.
In 2017, The Fontaines dropped the debut single "Evaporate", which received airplay on commercial and satellite radio, and garnered thousands of online streams. This success caught on in Los Angeles, where The Fontaines headlined a sold-out performance at The Troubadour in support of their dual EP releases, "Playgirls" and "Playboys".
Following the release of "Good Times", "Between Us" and "Beso", The Fontaines are gearing up for the premiere of their most anticipated single yet: "Freak". The fourth release so far this year, "Freak"showcases a sultry, indie-twinged rock with serious, confident lyrics about reclaiming sexist connotations, driven by lead singer Charlotte Fontaine. "Freak" will be released on May 18, 2018 across all digital platforms. In addition to the single, The Fontaines will release an accompanying music video to "Freak" that is sure to turn some heads, and make some much-needed statements.
